About Me

My name is August. I am a womanist, queer, atheist, and cis woman of color. I’ve grown increasingly anti-capitalist and anti-consumption over the years. I am unapologetically pro-choice. I love knitting, sewing, mountain unicycling, curling, dodgeball, cooking, and daydreaming. I believe in serial commas. I’m a nerd. I love science fiction and horror. I hate flying and roller coasters. I want to be a lactation consultant when I grow up.

My daughter’s name is Eve. She is the catalyst for this blog and for many of the thoughts that will end up recorded here. My husband and partner in crime is Marcus. Together we make a wonderful family.
